Alamo - Rejected
I set up a reservation like I had done many times in the recent years with this company.
I rent from Alamo because of the fact that they don't charge a deposit, just the total rental fee.
When I arrived to pick up car-they informed me,
Total on card would be rental amount plus a charge an additional $200 for deposit which was a new policy.
Unaware of the fact they had changed the policy,
I didn't have enough money on my major credit card. They would not except my debit card which was a VISA. I was a resident in area that I was renting.
Wedding to go to the next morning out of town.
I was turned down and told that they would not except my debit card.
After Thourghly going over it with him and demanding that except my debit card because I was unaware of the deposit. He said he was sorry but he could not do that -due to policy however if I'd had an itinerary where I had flown into Tulsa did not live there as a resident he then could except my debit card.
That Did not make any sense to me.....
I told him I was going to call the manager after leaving this facility--he commented "I am the manager"
Disappointed in Tulsa
Reason of review: Problems with payment.
Monetary Loss: $276.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Alamo Cons: Customer service added charges, Hidden excessive fees.
